GREYFATHOM OS · v1.3

The whole suite, on hardware you already own.

One installer, two editions — Raspberry Pi 5 and x86 Ubuntu. Eighteen tools under a fullscreen console, no desktop underneath. One price, one-time, everything in it. No tiers, no unlock keys, no subscription and no account.

ONE LICENCE

GREYFATHOM OS

The complete suite on your own Raspberry Pi 5 or x86 Ubuntu machine. Every tool enabled from first boot.

    One-time $99

Free updates for the whole v1.x line. No renewal, no account, no telemetry.

Why there is only one price

Withholding software you already wrote is a tax on your own customers.

An earlier version of this product had three licence tiers. It was a bad idea and it is gone. Every tool is in the image already; charging to reveal it would have meant building a lock, maintaining the lock, and explaining the lock — all work that makes the product worse.

So the price is the price. What changes between a $179 node and a $1,339 base station is the hardware: the screen, the case, the memory, the receivers. Those are real parts with real costs. A licence bit is not.

    Downloads

    Two editions, one suite.

Write the image, boot it, run the setup script. The installer detects the edition and fits itself to the hardware it finds — including which radio you have attached.

    RASPBERRY PI 5

    Pi 5 image

Branded boot from power-on to console. Flash to a card or an NVMe drive, first boot runs setup.

    X86 · UBUNTU

    x86 installer

Installs onto an existing Ubuntu machine — a mini PC, a laptop, whatever is on the shelf.

    NO SD CARD REQUIRED

    OS on USBNew

A boot-ready stick with both editions on one drive. Flash a Pi 5 or install on x86. Full licence included — every tool, nothing held back.

    From$129

Every release ships with a sha-256 manifest. Field Update verifies it twice, runs a regression battery before acceptance, and keeps one-tap rollback.

    All eighteen, on every unit

    What you actually get.

All of it. The only thing that varies is whether the hardware a tool depends on is attached — Comms needs a radio, Position needs a receiver, SDR needs a dongle. The unit tells you what it found at boot.

    New in v1.3

    What changed most recently.

One direction: the interface got its identity, and the field work got sharper.

v1.3.0-rc1 is at code cutoff, in production testing. Licences include free v1.x updates. The complete release notes are in the Master Guide.

    Requirements

    What it runs on.

The suite is the same on both editions. The hardware you attach decides which tools light up, and the unit tells you what it found.
